Gift Ideas For Second Time Dads
With Father’s Day approaching, I wanted to share some gift ideas for the second time dads in our lives.
If you have been keeping up on the blog, then you know that I’m a mom of 2.
I have a 1-year-old baby girl and a 3-year-old daughter that I share with my husband making him a dad of 2 as well.
During this month, I have been talking about my husband quite a bit on the blog
At the beginning of this month, I started out discussing how I have been reconnecting with him after having our baby girl last year.
And then last week, I talked about how he has been embracing being a girl dad.
I like to brag about my husband here and there because he really is a great father.
Fathers don’t always get the credit they deserve because moms naturally do a lot more, but good fathers do exist.
This is why I like to show my husband the love and appreciation he deserves because he is a good father to our girls.
Which can not only be achieved through our actions of showing him and making our men feel loved.
But through gift-giving as well.
I have compiled a small list of some items and ideas that would make great gifts for dads in case anyone is looking for ideas on what to get their husbands.
If you are interested in some gift ideas for second-time dads, then just keep reading.

What Would A Second-Time Dad Want?
Before I get into some gift ideas for the second-time dads, let’s talk about what a second-time dad might want?
What would a second-time dad want?
Well if I had to guess, it is probably similar to what a first-time dad would want.
Things that make life easier being a dad with a baby and things that you would enjoy outside of being a dad.
Last year I made a list of some great gifts for second-time moms.
That list consisted of items that made life easier with two children as well as items that just made me feel good.
That is what I like to keep in my mind when I’m trying to find something to get my husband.
He is like a lot of men who say that they don’t need or want anything when asked, so I have to think and get creative on what to get him.
If you are here looking for gift ideas for your husband, then I’m sure your husband is a lot like mine.
Even though he says that he doesn’t want anything, I still do my due diligence and get him a gift.
Because he still deserves it.
Many men don’t take holidays seriously because they don’t feel like it’s for them.
But we can change that and start making our men feel valued too.
Especially the men in our lives who show up consistently to be the father that our children need in their lives.
With that being said, let’s dive into some gift ideas that are great for second-time dads.
Gift Ideas For Second Time Dads
MiaMily Hip Seat Baby Carrier
The first gift idea that a second-time dad would love and make life easier with a second child is a baby carrier.
I know that my moms are more known for baby-wearing but dads are very much capable of baby-wearing as well.
The key is to find a carrier that will accommodate a man because men are usually bigger than women.
The carrier that I highly recommend is the MiaMily Hip Seat Baby Carrier.
This baby carrier is made to accommodate both men and women and the structure of the carrier itself allows it to be utilized in 6 different ways.
The best part about this carrier is the padded hip seat that is included.
This seat helps to alleviate back and hip pain which means you can wear your baby for much longer periods.
If you are looking for a more masculine quality baby carrier for your husband, then be sure to check out this one.
The Manhattan Backpack by Andar
The next item that many dads would love is the Manhattan Backpack from Andar.
When you have kids, you quickly realize that kids require quite a few things while you are out moving about.
I have discussed in a previous post that I carry a diaper bag the majority of the time with all the essentials that I will need on the go with my baby and toddler.
In that post, I talked about how I chose a bag that my husband would also feel comfortable carrying because he does carry it quite a bit as well.
He carries the one we currently have the majority time but I did want to provide another masculine option.
The Manhattan Backpack is not meant to be a diaper bag, but it is spacious, has storage pockets, and is durable which is what you ultimately need in a diaper bag.
You can store many things in this backpack and even after you no longer use it for baby storage, it can be a great everyday bag to carry around.
If you are interested in this bag, I do have a coupon code that you can use to save some money on this bag.

Rae Dunn Men’s Toiletries Travel Bag
While on the topic of bags or storage, another great bag to get a dad or just any man, in general, is this Men’s Toiletries Bag from Rae Dunn.
I got this for my husband and he loves it.
This little bag is really spacious and can hold all of his hygienic items in one place.
I don’t know if your husband is like mine but his stuff was everywhere when we would travel as a family.
He didn’t have anything to put his stuff in so his stuff would just be scattered all over his suitcase which would lead him to lose his things or misplace them.
This bag has solved that problem and my husband was so glad that I got him this.
Now when we are taking a road trip as a family of 4, he is set and doesn’t have to worry about misplacing his items.
If your husband is in of good size bag to hold his toiletries, then check this bag.
Dearfoams Men’s Papa Bear Slippers
An item that you can never go wrong with getting a dad is slippers.
Especially these Papa Bear Slippers by Dearfoams.
My husband found these slippers to be really comfortable because of the memory foam insole and they are made with a rubber outsole so they can be worn outside as well.
These slippers make a great Father’s Day or Christmas gift for any dad.
Yeti Tumbler
I recently turned my husband onto the stainless steel tumbler game by getting him a Yeti Tumbler.
He finally gets why they are so popular.
They really do keep your drinks cold or hot depending on the drink.
He has been bringing his cup to work and has found it to be so useful.
But even when he is home, he still likes to use it because once again it will keep his drink cold or hot.
I know as a parent who likes to drink tea in the mornings, my tea will often get cold several times in the morning because I normally have to leave it and attend to my girls throughout the morning.
My husband is in the same boat.
With a Yeti, you don’t have to worry about it because it will keep your drink hot for you for a much longer period of time.
ButcherBox
One of the best things that I have come across as a parent is meal delivery services.
It can be tough to grocery shop and just shop around in general when you have kids, so if there is a way to make that task easier, then we are all for it.
The latest one that we are hoping to give a try is ButcherBox.
If you have not heard of ButcherBox, it is a subscription service that delivers high-quality meat right to your doorstep.
They provide different kinds of high-quality meat such as chicken, seafood, beef, and pork that are of great value.
You can either choose from a curated box or a custom box and also choose how often you want the meat delivered.
With summer here, this service will come in handy because my husband can throw most of the meat on the grill and this will be several meals for our family of 4.
And he doesn’t even have to leave the house to get the meat.
If you have a husband that likes to grill, then you might want to give ButcherBox a try.
Apple AirPods
I want to shift towards some electronic gifts that are great for dads and the first one I have to mention is Apple AirPods.
I have AirPods and find myself using them quite a bit as a mom of 2.
When you have a toddler and a baby, there aren’t many instances when experience quiet outside of them taking a nap.
Between a non-stop taking 3-year-old and a babbling 1-year-old, I can barely hear my own thoughts sometimes.
And if your family is like ours with younger children, the majority of the time, there is a kid show on in the background which is even more noise.
My AirPods have been a game-changer when it comes to blocking out some of the noise.
Not only am I able to listen to something I want to, but I can even talk on the phone without having to continually ask what was said.
If I enjoy my AirPods then I know my husband will too.
He can listen to his music or a podcast, talk on the phone, or even respond to text messages.
These things just come in handy when your hands are full taking care of your little ones and something that I recommend every parent get.
Apple Watch Series 3
Along with AirPods, another Apple product that I also have is an Apple Watch.
Once again, this item that I enjoy and find myself using daily as a mom of 2 so I know my husband would also appreciate this as well.
I often say that my watch is like having my phone on me at times without actually having to carry my phone around.
Whether I’m answering phone calls, responding to text messages, checking my notifications, or even set up reminders.
My watch is a must-have and something that I utilize daily.
Along with its many uses, I also love that it tracks my steps and creates daily and weekly health goals.
We all should strive to be healthier versions of ourselves and an Apple Watch can point you in the right direction.
Lumen Device
Another electronic health device that I want to mention is the Lumen Device.
If you follow me over on Instagram, then you have seen me talk about and use this device.
This is a handheld device that measures your metabolism by measuring the CO2 in your breath.
Based on this measurement, it can reveal the health of your metabolism and provide insight and suggestions to improve your metabolic flexibility.
Some of the benefits of metabolic flexibility include less snacking, boosted energy, and an improvement in your overall health.
Which is something that we could all use as parents.
One of the things that I really love about my Lumen device is that the app that comes with also comes up with a nutrition and exercise plan that I can easily follow.
When I mentioned this on Instagram, I had many people talk about how their husbands could also benefit from this device so I wanted to include it here.
I was also gifted a coupon code that you can use towards your purchase so make sure to use the code JUSTJASS to save $30 off your Lumen device using my link here.
Sharper Image Massage Gun
And the last gift idea for second-time dads is this Sharper Image Massage Gun.
When these massage guns started becoming popular, I was a little weary of them, but once I got one for my husband, I realized why.
They really do work to relieve the pressure and muscle fatigue that has built up in several areas of our bodies.
This massage gun also comes with several different massage heads as well as several different speeds.
After a long day of work or even just after a long day after chasing our little ones around, this massage gun sure does come in handy.
I know that I bought it for my husband, but I will find myself using it here and there as well.
Your Turn
Well, those are my gift ideas for second-time dads that I have gotten for my husband. I want to hear from you all now. What are gifts that you have gotten your husbands that are dads of 2? Let me know in the comments and while you are still here, check out my previous post below. Until next time!
