Get A Good Night’s Rest With The Sutera Dream Deep Pillow
I found a way to get a good night’s rest and I did it with the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow.
When I became a new mom, sleep became a luxury with a breastfeeding newborn.
Sleep became something I took for granted because I thought I would always get plenty of it one way or another.
Boy was I wrong.
When I was up throughout the night breastfeeding my daughter when she was younger, my sleep schedule was thrown completely off and I struggled with getting good quality sleep that would actually leave me feeling rested.
There is definitely a difference between getting sleep and getting quality sleep.
You all know I stress the importance of getting quality sleep because I want us all to thrive in mom-life and we can not do that when we are not well-rested.
Well, I am here to tell you about a company called Sutera and their orthopedic contour sleep pillow that has done wonders for me and my sleep.
Here is how I’m getting a good night’s rest with the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow.
This is a sponsored blog post by Sutera that I was compensated for. All opinions and reviews of this product are my own and I want to thank Sutera for spending me this product to review.
My History With Sleep
Before I get into my review of the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow let me give you a brief history of what sleep has looked like for me over the years.
Because sleep has been an area in my life that I have struggled with for as long as I can remember.
If you have been keeping up with the blog, then you know insomnia has been something that I struggled with much longer than I am proud to admit.
I did not realize it when I was younger, but I struggled with insomnia even as a young kid.
My parents tried everything.
They bought everything from lava lamps to sound machines and even tried to play classical music.
Every tip and trick out there that was marketed towards getting to sleep, my parents were willing to try to get their daughter to sleep at night.
I don’t know why sleep would evade me at night because apparently, no one in my immediate family (at least no one I’m aware of) had any issues with falling and staying asleep.
And what I mean by sleep evasion, I mean like 2-3 hours of laying wide awake in the bed.
It was as if my brain just wasn’t ready to turn off.
How I Cope With Insomnia
After I became a mom, my insomnia only worsened as I got further into postpartum.
Of course, most moms experience some level of sleep deprivation when they have a baby because babies wake up throughout the night to feed.
Unfortunately, my problem would be not being able to go back to sleep after my daughter had fed and had fallen back asleep.
Over time, I have learned how to cope with having insomnia which started with me having to create an environment for sleep.
Other things I would do were create a bedtime for myself, diffuse lavender essential oils, and drink a calming tea before bed.
Pretty much anything that would help relax my mind so then I could focus on falling asleep.
The other thing I have learned is that you have to have the proper tools when trying to get a better night’s sleep.
This is where my friends over at Sutera come in.

When it comes to having the proper tools, the first thing that comes to mind for me is having some good pillows and sheets to lay on.
Your sheets should be soft and able to regulate the temperature in the room to ensure your body does not overheat or get too cold at night.
Sheets are for your body and your pillows are for your head and neck.
The last thing you want to do is wake up with your head and neck sore from sleeping on the wrong pillow.
This is why you have to be particular when it comes to pillows.
When Sutera reached out to me to send me a sample of their Dream Deep Pillow, I was absolutely ecstatic.
I was beyond eager to see if this pillow would leave me feeling rested when I woke up and I must say it absolutely did.
Its contoured shape adapted to my head and neck and provided premium comfort that lasted through the entire night.
I am a side sleeper so I was a little worried that this pillow would not work due to its design, but it does.
Not only does it work for side sleepers, but it works for back and stomach sleepers too.
I let my husband, who is a stomach sleeper, try it and he also loved how soft and comfortable it was.
Other features that I love about the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow include:
- Provides full-body support
- Temperature regulating & Cooling
- Machine washable removable cover
I cannot recommend this pillow enough.
If you are looking for the ultimate pillow to get a good night’s sleep, look no further than the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow.
Your Turn
Well, that is how I’m getting a good night’s rest with the Sutera Dream Deep Pillow. I know insomnia can be a pain and I completely get it because I still struggle with it some days. The key, as I mentioned above, is to create an environment that promotes sleep and that is going to start with the bed itself. Let me know if you try to Sutera Dream Deep Pillow in the comments and while you are still here, check out my previous post below. Until next time!

In general, I don’t sleep with pillows, but some days I do. Since I will be moving in December, I will definitely be considering it.

Really? I have to have a pillow! It feels so weird to not sleep on pillows, but my husband will do that sometimes too! If you are looking to try a pillow, then this is the one!

I don’t think I’ve had a good nights sleep since having kids. On top of the kids my hubby doesn’t understand even after 10 years that If he wakes me up it takes me hours to fall asleep again. He falls asleep in 30 seconds!
Anyway thanks for the pillow suggestion. I was looking to get new pillows. I’ll have to try that one out!

You don’t know how much I relate to this! I am so envious of my husband who can fall asleep as soon as his head hits the pillow! And you are very welcome, definitely give this pillow a try!

The pillow looks amazing. But the best answer is going to
sleep earlier..

As much as I try, it is still so hard to go to sleep earlier. Insomnia is a beast that just won’t let me go!

I totally agree that there is nothing like great sheets and an amazing pillow. I’m so grateful that I’ve never personally suffered with insomnia. But I will keep this blog posy in mind just in case that should change. Thanks for sharing.
