Teething Relief Tips I Use With My 14-Month-Old
My 14-month-old has lately been teething and is definitely in need of some relief. Teething is one of the phases that I dread because you feel so helpless when your little one is going through the pain that comes with teething. I can’t even imagine what it feels like to have your teeth penetrating your gums but I can bet that it doesn’t feel that great. This is probably why our kiddos are in their worst moods when they are teething. When my first daughter was teething, I just tried to remain patient and make her as comfortable as I…

Surviving The Witching Hour With A Baby And Toddler
I don’t know about you all but the witching hour with a baby and toddler can be a bit crazy in our house. For those who don’t know, I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old at home with me and it is as if they become different people when the clock strikes 5 in the evenings. During the day, they are mostly calm. Well, as calm as a baby and toddler can be. In the mornings, they are both at their calmest. They are just waking up, eating breakfast, and getting ready for the day so nothing too crazy is…

What To Look For When Choosing A Preschool For A 3-Year-Old
If you all have been keeping up with me over on social media, you would know that I’m currently in the process of choosing a preschool for my 3-year-old daughter. She is super excited (and nervous) about going to school but overall she is ready. And so is this mama. In a previous post, I talked about how I have been preparing her for preschool which you can you find through the link below. Read More: Preparing My 3-Year-Old For Preschool Which is probably why she feels like she is ready. For anyone who is new here, I’m currently a…

Time Management Tips For Stay At Home Moms
For my fellow stay-at-home moms, if there is anything that you need to learn while you are home with your little ones, it is time management. I have had entire days get away from me in the past due to poor time management. You would think since I’m home with the girls most days, that I should have all the time in the world to get any and everything is done. Well, that is false. For anyone new here, I have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old that I’m caring for on a daily. Both of my girls are in two…

Great Board Books To Read With A 1-Year-Old
My 1-year-old baby girl absolutely loves reading board books. I have been reading to her pretty much since birth. I did the same thing with my older daughter when she was a baby and continue to do so even now that she is almost 4. And she also loves reading books. In fact, I’m pretty sure that the reason that my older daughter loves books is that I started early on reading to her. Reading is a part of her bedtime routine. And it has also become a part of my baby girl’s bedtime routine. She has figured out that…

Preparing My 3 Year Old For Preschool
Well, the time has come to begin preparing my 3-year-old for preschool. My oldest daughter will be turning 4 in the fall, but it won’t be until after our school district’s deadline in September. So instead of my daughter getting to start preschool with the other 4-year-olds this year, she will have to wait another year actually to go to preschool. I could just wait another year to put her in preschool, but I don’t want her to be behind. With this in mind, I knew that I wanted to go ahead and start looking for a preschool for her…

Travel Tips For Flying With A Baby And Toddler
Now that we are a family of 4 with 2 smaller children 3 and under, if we decide to take an airplane, we will be flying with a baby and toddler. My in-laws live almost 11 hours from us so if we don’t drive the whole way, then we will likely fly. We have driven this road trip with a baby and toddler before which isn’t completely terrible. But if I had a preference, I would absolutely choose to fly. We currently have a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old so if given the choice to choose between an 11-hour trip or…

Outdoor Activities To Do With A 1-Year-Old
Some parents may not realize it but there are quite a few outdoor activities that you can do with a 1-year-old. Especially during the summer when most of us are trying to find ways to be outside. If you are familiar with me, then you know that I’m a stay-at-home mom of a 3-year-old and 1-year-old so getting out of the house is a must for all of our sanities. The majority of the time, I’m more focused on getting my 3-year-old out of the house and taking her to a fun place that she would enjoy because she is…

Summer Essentials I Use With My Baby And Toddler
With summer in full swing here, I want to share the summer essentials I use with my 1-year-old baby and 3-year-old toddler. In January of this year, I talked about what it was like to care for my baby girl during the winter and included some of my must-haves that we use in that post. Some of you all appreciated those tips in that post, so I also figured I do a similar post during the summer. This is the time of year when everybody is ready to get out of the house and enjoy the sunshine which is exactly…

Walking Activities To Do With A 12-Month-Old Baby
Now my 12-month-old baby girl is a full-blown walker, we have been incorporating some walking activities to further improve her walking ability. If you have been keeping up with the blog, then you know that every few months, I have been dropping activity posts on things that I do with my baby. First, it was some developmental activities that we were doing when she was 4 months old. Then it was floor activities that I was doing with her when she was 8 months old and crawling everywhere. And now that she is walking, we are doing things now that…
